girls with autism and impending puberty - advice?

Hi, All. I gave an intro in another thread but wanted advice on this, too.

I know how much more common autism is in boys, so I'm not sure if anyone here even has a girl affected? My daughter is nine, and about a year ago started developing. I recall reading somewhere that early puberty is common in girls with autism. Anyhow, my question revolves around how to deal with all this.

She hasn't started a period yet, when she does, they'll be giving her a birth control shot so that she doesn't have one monthly. Thank God, cause she's not even completely potty trained yet. But I am wondering how am I supposed to do things like shave her armpits and legs? I obviously don't want to use a razor.

Does anyone have any thoughts or advice about this?

Angie
