Hi all! I'm so excited and a little bit terrified! Our first was born via semi-emergency c section 17 months ago. We've decided to start working on number 2 next month. I'm excited because I loved being pregnant the first time and I want to give our ds a sibling. I'm terrified because I don't want to have another c section and I'm afraid of being pressured into it. I'm also worried about caring for a toddler and a newborn! Yikes! But I've never heard of anyone dying from taking care of kids, so I figure I'll survive! ;) I need to make an appointment to have my IUD removed. I've had the Mirena for about 15 months and I've loved it. I'm a little worried about getting it removed. I was told to expect "mild discomfort and mild cramping" when I got it put in and I was shaking and sweating and couldn't stand up for like 10 minutes, so I think they lied! Now my NP says its nothing to have it removed and I have to wonder if its just another gross understatement. Has anybody done this before? What should I expect? Was there bleeding? Cramping?
