I dread this task. My published book, It's Not Mental [2], is so complex with over 100 footnotes and references, many bulleted lists, indented quotes, and so many automatic MS Word formatting styles. I feel confident about converting simple book formats to e-books, but not this... howver, it must be done. :-(
I have been told about 3 good books on the topic, all by Mark Coker. Of the 3, I think the one I would need is the Style Guide [3]. All I could find was the Kindle version, and I really need a non-E-Book version. I don't own any Nook or Kindle, Smart Phone, etc.
I know HTML, and several formatting "leanguages", so thgose technicalities are not my problem. I know I will need to convert all the footnotes to hypertext. I don't need something so basic that all the terms must be explained. But I truly do need to know how to do bulleted lists manually with them still looking nice, since I am aware we cannot even leave the MS Word automatic lists in (all formatting must be stripped out. Sigh.)
Help?
