Oh boy, I've really done it this time, lol. I've decided to make an owl cake for my baby's first birthday (her smash cake). So in theory, alls well. I know what I have to do. Just not sure how to go about it. The pan is the issue.
It's this one: http://www.fatdaddios.com/catalog/hemisphere-ball-1 - the 2" by 4" one. I looked it up on their chart and it holds 5/8 of a cup of batter. It also says due to the anodized aluminum (which is what I have) to reduce the temp by 25º. I'm planning on using regular old Duncan Hines for that. How long should I cook it for? Any ideas? I know I'm going to do a test run, but I haven't the slightest on what to even base the starting point off of. LOL Twenty minutes? It's small - three servings - but then you have the depth. LOL
