It has been a rough week, y'all.
Last Friday, my father in law ( who I totally adore) went into the hospital with jaundice and a fever. By Sunday he was diagnosed with leukemia. By Tuesday, he was basically unresponsive. On Thursday morning, he coded.
They brought him back and he is on a ventilator and sedatives. His bilirubin is sky high and his platelets are low. He is receiving chemo and he is stable at this time - but this is not a pretty picture. He really needs a miracle.
It is so hard to watch my precious mother in law go through this. They have been together for 53 years and they do everything together. They are such a perfect and wonderful example of marriage and love and commitment. My husband and his two brothers are devastated. They have worked so hard for so many years to the delight of their parents and they are all worried for their momma.
I just lost my daddy in November. My children are faced with the loss of two grandfathers in less than a year. My son is devastated. He was very close to my father and is very close to my husband's father.
Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers. I'll update as I can. Right now, I just want to wake up from this very bad dream!
