Well, well, well... here we are - July 10th and I'm just starting this journal. It's going to be a short one, that's for sure - my wedding is July 14th and we don't return from our honeymoon until July 24th so I have 4 days pre-wedding to journal and track and 7 days post-wedding to journal and track this month.
On Sunday while sitting in the pedicure chair reading Runners World magazine I came up with a goal and a bucket list item for myself. I am going to run one 5K a month from August through December. Then in January I'm going to start a 10K training program for the Spring and then in December 2013 Jamie and I want to run the Las Vegas Rock N Roll Half Marathon! It's the week before his birthday so we may be able to combine the two events!
I didn't lose any weight for my wedding like I had wanted to but I did get myself toned/in shape enough that I am able to wear a sexy dress like I wanted. I have increased the number of shorts in my wardrobe for the summer because I am beginning to like the look of my legs. Sure I would love to lose 10 pounds or so but when I get back from my honeymoon my focus is going to be to focus on truly getting FIT not just the number on the scale. I'm going to start the Bootcamp class by my house in the mornings in August and I bought a Groupon for 3 kickboxing classes that I'll put to use in August too. I may also explore a beginning yoga class, a beginning kettlebells class and spinning - all offered at my gym by my house but I just never go to that one. I think I'm getting burned out on the treadmill workouts at lunchtime everyday at work. I'll probably break out with some of the dvds in my collection too when I return - it's time for me to mix-it up and get my motivation back to just workout!
