8 vs. 6 Credit Hours?

So...I was only planning on taking 6 credit hours this fall, but my advisor emailed me and said she thought I should be able to knock out 8 credit hours, which is 3 classes (2 are 3 credit hours, one is 2 credit hours).

Do you think there's going to be a huge difference in 6 ch vs 8?  I don't want to bite off more than I can chew.  :/
