Bobby Flay blends 1/3 cup whole milk with 10 ounces premium vanilla ice cream (about 1 3/4 cups, packed) in a blender until smooth.
Paula Deen adds vanilla extract and sugar:
4 cups quality vanilla ice cream
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
8 tablespoons sugar
2 cups milk, less for thicker milkshakes
Using a blender or milkshake machine, blend all ingredients together until smooth.
I make mine like Bobby Flay but add a bit of vanilla. I think the sugar is overkill. What do you think?
