Hi all! I am new to this board. I used to be a regular on the TTC boards. Anyway, we are currently expecting baby #3. In theory, we should have plenty of space for this baby, as we have a 4 bedroom house. We have been using one bedroom as and office/guest room/overflow storage. So, I have 2 problems with moving my eldest daughter into that room. First, the room is located at the front of the house with 3 large windows facing the front yard. It makes me nervous to have her in the front, because she will only be 4. Second, if I do move her in there, I have to figure out what to do with all the stuff that currently resides in that room.
So, does anyone have any advice about kids sharing a room with a new baby? I am considering having my 4 year old share a room with the baby, after the baby moves out of the bassinet into the crib. The new baby is also a girl, so it seems logical to have these two share a room. I could have my 4 year old share with my son, who will be 21 months when the baby is born. The problems with that are that I picture them playing and keeping each other awake, and I would have to neutralize the decor of the room to suit both.
I know this stuff is kind of frivolous, but I figure I can't be the only expectant mother that obsesses over this stuff.
I welcome your opinions. I will help my planning process. Thanks!
