First of all, let me wish all teachers who either have a job for the coming year or don't have one all the luck in the world for the coming year.
Now, I posted last month about an autism school that is hiring a whole new teaching staff (principal included), and I want to be their music teacher. Last month when I applied, I almost immediately contacted the director to ask when I might expect a call for an interview, and they said I "should expect a call in August." I did make a point of mentioning that I too am on the autism spectrum with Asperger Syndrome. With that in mind, I don't think they could find a better candidate to teach this population other than me. Sherry, you agreed with me that it was the thing to do to let them know my dx.
But, what does the wording of "you should expect a call then" mean? The job closes on the 10th. I am geniunely expecting them to call me. Should I, or am I engaging in too much wishful thinking?
Thank you for all your thoughts,
