Good Aftermoon Ladies -
I hope that everyone is enjoying a beautiful Saturday afternoon. I an sitting here with all my windows open enjoying a beautiful breeze and about 70 perfect degrees coming in my windows, a cup of coffee and my Ipod shuffling songs through my surround sound!!!! Ahhhhhhhhhhhh, so relaxing.
So on Thursday afternoon I started getting this really weird migraine in my right temple area and it started to wrap around my right eye. I have never had a migraine like this before. I took my migraine meds hoping that would help it go away. Within about 20 mintues of the migraine starting I lost all the vision in my right eye. Completely black, nothing. I was totally freaked out. I called my regular doctor to find out what I should do. She called me back directly. So told me to call 911 and get to the ER right away for fear it might be some kind of mass in my brain or some kind of bleed in my brain. (The fears that I had in the last post I posted.) So I got into the ER and they did a cat scan with some kind of contrast and they was NO mass, tumor or bleed going on in my brain, Praise the LORD. So why the blindness??? The I was seeing a physician's assistant in the ER and she is amazing. I have seen her before and I would much rather have her treat me than some of the doctors. She is so caring and really takes the time that is needed. She called the eye doctor I saw 12 years ago to get a good history on my eye and then she called the eye doctor that I can't get into till October. They took pressures of my eye, which were normal. Anyway, she discharged me and said that the eye doctor wanted to see me in his office within the hour. This is 7pm at night now. WOW, pretty amazing. So my mom drives me to his office, which is like 4 blocks from my house. He finds that my retna is stuck to the lense of my eye, which he things has been like that most of my life, but cannot figure out why I have lost my vision. Tells me to come back in the morning so they can run more tests. I come back in the morning and they run about 3 hours worth of tests. They said they would call me back on Monday with the results. in the mean time I have to put drops in my eye everyone while I am awake.
This morning I woke up and I can see a little tiny bit of light in that eye. Praise the LORD!
Sorry again for the LONG post. But I wanted to updated y'all since you have been praying for me!
