Hello! I recently found out I am pregnant with #2 and we are very excited but can't agree on any names at all! We have a two year old daughter named Ivyana Lena, which we thought of while I was in labor (having gone to the hospital with a list of three or four names we couldn't decide on). I love it of course because it is my daughter's name but I wish we had thought of it sooner because I would have had time to do more research on it first, it kind of bothers me how similar it is to some increasingly common names. Anyway, we don't want anything traditional or trendy or popular, I was one of half a dozen Laurens in every grade and hated it my whole life. We do like girl names to be feminine and boy names to be masculine, as lesbians we figure our kids will have enough to deal with without having to grow up with an androgynous name. Our last name is Owens, if that matters at all. So far, this is our list but I really am not in love with any of them yet: for girls - Aulletta, Emory, Verity, Xavielle, Leola, Callandra, Fiorella, Adessa, Ellington, Emorielle, and I kind of like Vera, Nova and Luna as nn but can't think of anything I really like as a whole name. For boys - Stone, Vaughn, Lennon, Sterling, Hendrix, Evander, Axel, Huxley, Lawson, Knox, Phoenix and Everton. I figure if anyone would have unique ideas it would be you lovely ladies please feel free to comment on any of the names, I won't be offended at all, and of course suggestions are very welcome! Thanks in advance!
