We're having plaster work done on some of the walls in our house, incuding the master bedroom, so we had to move out of that room. While packing up I was able to get rid of some stuff either to the trash or into a bag for charity. I also found permanent homes for some stuff that had been sitting on my dresser. When we move back into the room my dresser should look a lot less cluttered than before.
The bad news is that the boxes of books etc from that room are now piled in my office and its back to looking like a disaster again. I had cleared it up in July and kept it looking good for a while but gradually its been slipping back into a clutter zone. I'm having trouble finding the motivation to work on it. It drives me crazy to see it but its kind of overwhelming to think of dealing with it! Also its still hot here and I usually need the fan blowing to be in my office, but that makes it hard to work on the papers because the fan blows them around (right now I have them anchored by heavier clutter LOL). There's always some excuse isn't there?
