Life has changed so much in the past 11 years. I know that since I was a youngster, life has changed dramatically. One of my favorite comments to my kids is "I NEVER would have said that to my parents without worrying about what would happen to me!"
But I was thinking about the past, in particular other historical events, D-Day, the day Pearl Harbor was bombed, the end of the great World Wars, etc. When did it cease to be a national day to reflect upon what had happened? Was it because of the lack of media? Was it because the people that it "struck" the most have passed? Was it because something more horrible happened?
What do you think?
