I met a great guy yesterday at a party in the afternoon and I thought we hit it off, had good conversation, etc.. He was hard to read, basically I wasn't sure he was interested and I left with when the friend I was staying with was ready to go. My friend ended up hearing from a mutual acquantaince that this guy was interested and we exchanged numbers and were texting. All of us met up later at a bar to hang out and it we ended up spending the whole night talking, kissing, and had a great time. I had to leave early in the morning and I was nervous, stressed, unsure about what to say. The guy was nice, but I think we both werent' sure, and he did linger for a while, wasn't racing to leave. He gave me a hug goodbye (no kiss), asked if I had to leave, I said yes. He then said that he has my number and I have his and he would connect soon.
So I guess my question is...I know it has only been a few hours since I saw him but I feel like the goodbye was so awkward compared to how things were last night. I was definitely awkward, not because I didn't like him but because I was nervous...it's been a while since I've dated. I'm already worried he will just think it was awkward, maybe I'm not interested or something and he won't call. He was hard to read from the beginning, yet I found out he was very interested. His friend said he's a very sensitive, but slower moving and quieter guy.
Can I text him first? I wouldn't do it today but tomorrow or Tuesday, if he hasn't contacted? I just want him to know simply that I had fun, sorry for the abrupt goodbye, that I would love to get together again
