hello!! so im not a first time pregnant woman or a first time mom...when i give birth to my son in late december-it will make baby #3 for me. but ive been wanting to write this post to ease some minds out there cuz i remember when i was pregnant with my oldest and i wasnt very big the whole 9 months. actually im not very big right now. im 6 months along and at my last doctors appointment, i hadnt gained any weight. the women i work with are making noises about it-like i dont even look pregnant, that maybe im not as far along as i think, that maybe the baby isnt healthy...thats what i ran up against when i was pregnant with my oldest. i gained the "required" 25 pounds. but i was only 125 pounds when i got pregnant...so i didnt look very big at 150 pounds...there was 1 guy in particular that freaked me out-he told me that his sister was huge all 3 times she gave birth and because im not very big-there must be something wrong with the baby. DONT TELL A FIRST TIME MOM THAT!!! i told my doctor that and he laughed at me and told me that hes full of it...that every woman is different, every pregnancy is different and the baby is fine. she was born full term at 7 lbs., 2.5 ounces...my 2nd was born also full term at 7 lbs., 11 ounces...didnt get very big with her either. this one i started at 155 pounds-which is why i think the scale shows i didnt gain anything yet. there is nothing wrong with the baby-my ultrasound showed no abnormalities...and i know hes fine-hes very active...im guessing he probably will be over 8 pounds...sooooo all you ladies that arent showing, that arent very big, that might be worried that something is up with the baby-ask your doctor to reassure your mind but dont worry too much. cuz everyone is different and every pregnancy is different. and if youre not very big-it happens. im sure your babies will be fine-just like my older 2...
