I provide child care for a 19 month old little girl named Grace and have done so for most of her life. Recently, her father (a very young widower), decided it was time to start potty training. I'm not so sure Grace is quite ready for this huge step. Her vocab is such that she can tell you if she has peed or that yes, she has poo'd, but I don't believe she actually has control of her bladder yet and she cannot remove her own clothing - doesn't even realize that she has to. On top of potty training she has also recently moved to a toddler bed (which is actually going quite well so far) and into a booster seat and doing more of feeding herself. I don't want to hold Grace back, but I don't want to push her if she's not ready either. I'm not 100% sure I'm not just wanting to take the easy road (diapers) a little while longer. Any advice, suggestions or opinions would be greatly appreciated.
