Sorry it has taken forever....things are crazy lol
I went in for my induction on Monday 9.17 at 6am started oral Cytotec at 0640, had 2 more doses every 3 hours.
I started the induction at 2cm - by the 3rd dose of Cytotec I was still 2cm, so they started me on Pitocin around 1pm.
Contractions got stronger, but still remained 2-3cm. At 10pm my dr came in and broke my water, I managed to stay epidural
free for an hour, with the most pain I have ever felt. I got my epidural around 12am, they were really busy. It didn't work at first,
then finally started to kick in. I fell asleep for a few hours and woke up at 3am in pain - still only 3 cm. I cried to my husband about how i felt like this was never going to end and I jsut wanted him out.
At 4am I woke up feeling every contraction. Nurse checked I was 10cm and ready to go. I dilated 7cm in about 45 minutes.
I gave 2 practice pushes, they ran to get the dr, 3 contractions and 4 pushes later I had a very cute purple baby laying on my chest.
Clayton was born at 0426, weighed in at 7lbs 1 oz and 18.25 in long. He is an amazing baby - calm, relaxed, nurses great, and SLEEPS!!!!!!!!
We are so happy for our new addition and are so in love with him!
Congrats to everyone!
