Lachlan has arrived!

Hi Everyone,

I was due to have a scheduled c-section this coming Tuesday but Lachlan decided to come a week early!  On Tuesday, I started having incredible pressure and pain in my groin and we decided to head into triage at about 3:00 pm.  They assessed me and decided to go ahead with a c-section, I didn't find out until the following day as to why they went ahead right away but as they assessed me, my contractions started.  So we went in and Lachlan was born at 5:42 pm with a smooth c-section and no problems at all.  On Wednesday, the doctor visited me and explained that my previous c-section scars were beginning to seperate and open which was what was causing all the groin pain.  Apparently this is very very very rare (not wanting to scare any moms to be) but it was good that I came into triage.  Fortunately, we weren't attempting a VBAC either because Lachlan also had a true knot in his cord.  So all around we made the best decisions in this pregnancy and hence delivery :smileyhappy:  I managed to convince the hospital to release me a day early and have been doing great at home :smileyhappy:

So Lachlan is an amazing little guy, very easy and eats and sleeps well!  We are thrilled and my husband (this is his first child and my third) is doing great on baby duty.  He was a whopping 9 lbs 4 oz!!!

I hope everyone's delivery is as smooth as mine was and always go to L & D triage if you are concerned about anything!

Below is a pic of our new little one!
