I had my first official "OB visit" at 11 weeks today, after having had ultrasounds at weeks 6 and 9. She was willing to try the Doppler, and I was nervous because just four days ago, I couldn't hear a fetal heartbeat with my new home doppler even after trying for ten minutes two different times. Thankfully, within ten seconds of laying her Doppler on my belly today, we could hear the fast gallop of a horse. 176 beats per minute!
