Sorry, with the new format I couldn't find the search function...
I'm pretty sure I have thrush. My nipples burn badly for an hour or so after feedings, but not during, and sometimes even longer. LO does not show any signs of it, other than MAYBE excess gas (but it's not all that bad and may be very normal). I did some research and it seems gentian violet is the most effective and fastest way to get over this. I've had symptoms for about 3-4 weeks. LO is 5 weeks old.
I've read how to treat my nipples and I feel pretty clear on it, but I also read we need to treat both of us. If LO doesn't have sores etc... how do I treat him with it? Or should I call the ped for a Nysatin script for him?
Oh, and how do you pronounce "gentian"??
TIA for the help.
