HCG Questions...?

I miscarried naturally over the course of 5 days (was sent home from hospital with a pat on the head...crying in hubby's arms) at eight weeks beginning last Wednesday and completing and passing the ...everything finally on this past SAturday.

Having an ultrasound today to check for the all clear.

HCG levels drawn yesterday are at 495.  

ANYONE know what that number means?  Is this a good starting point for now?  Is that high, low ?  Is it good? 

They are going to draw next week again.  

    Nina, mc at 8 weeks, October 29, 2012, mc at 4.5 weeks on January 12,  staying positive and third times's a charm???
