My troop celebrated the Birthday of Juliette Low this past Monday- and finished just as the heavier rains and winds were arriving in our town. The girls wanted a pizza party with cupcakes (which my 2 newest Girl Scouts made for us). They did their opening as usual, then we tried to take a photo of the group with as many girls doing headstands as possible because Juliette would always do a headstand or cartwheel on her birthday! We ended up with 2 doing handstands and 4 others holding their legs, 1 doing a backbend, and 2 doing wacky poses. I think they had fun with that- and I posted it to facebook and tagged our girl scout council, but for some reason, I was unable to tag the Juliette Low birthplace in the photo- but I still want to share it with them. After the crazy photo, they sang songs, played some silly games and basically had fun until the pizza arrived. After we sang grace and ate, we did a little awards ceremony. It was quite fun for them- and enjoyable for me!
