Dd20 accepted at TFA

We just found out that Dd20 will be teaching elementary students at a disadvantaged school in Indianapolis next year. We're nervous, excited, wary, proud... pretty much the entire gamut. I'm glad she was assigned to Indy - not as scary as some locations, still moderately close to home, not too far from friends at IU... and I'm glad she was assigned elementary - she just turned 20 a few weeks ago so she'll only be 20 when she starts teaching (hard to believe!). I have a lot of faith in her - she's incredibly organized and hardworking, and has more patience than anyone else in the family (way more than me or dd22) but still.... it's kind of scary!  We've talked about and read a ton about TFA over the past few months, but given the crazy low acceptance rate, I honestly didn't think dd would be accepted. She is completely over the moon and so thrilled and motivated. I hope it goes well for her. I am already planning to visit her new school, lol, and I did suggest maybe a trip out West next summer - she trains in Phoenix. Whew!
