To brine or not to brine?

I'm actually turkey-hungry!!!  I found this interesting article on brining in my email newsletters today recommending NOT brining.  This is really interesting; the author recommends salting.  I've heard a lot of chefs recommending salting lately.  I'm ready to give it a try!
