I think the Ritz win is a pretty big story for Indiana teachers, students, and parents: http://blogs.edweek.org/edweek/state_edwatch/2012/11/indiana_superintendent.html
Every teacher I know personally in our area is a Ritz supporter. It will be interesting to see what she can do. I know she wanted to roll back a lot of policies Bennett put in play, but I don't know if she'll actually be able to do it.
They're calling the Ritz win an election upset, but I am not at all surprised. I thought she was going to win based on the support she was getting in our area alone. Because they're calling it an "upset," it makes me think that Bennett and a lot of the state were really out of touch with parents and teachers. Is this really an "upset?"
