So, had my ultrasound on Tues. and it was a HUGE let down. I go in there thinking I'm having an anatomy scan, when what happened is my ob wheels in her little portable ultrasound, gives me a 15 min. look at baby, measures the head twice (once the narrow way, once the long one) and one thigh bone, gives a quick look at gender and we were done. I have already made my appointment for my next checkup with the birth center, so I'm thinking I'm going to ask the midwife if I can get another proper anatomy scan at that point! On the plus side, heart rate (when little one decided to stay still for more than 3.2 seconds was good) and everything we did see on the ultrasound looked healthy and normal.
Now, for what you all want to know.. what am I having?? Well, I"m still not completely sure. It looks like it's most likely a boy. We didn't see any girl parts, there was something in between the legs, but it didn't look like boy parts either- I'm not convinced it's not cord, and the ob said it could have been too. It wasn't a great ultrasound, with bad resolution, and my little bean is a real squirmy worm, so I think it all contributed to all the ambiguity. So, I think for now I"m team yellow, leaning to blue!
