Well, I can finally see replies to posts! The boards don't work as well as they used to, but at least they work.
A couple of weeks ago my DH's cat started vomiting up a bunch of bloody liquid in the middle of the night. We had to take him to the emergency vet. It turned out he had eaten some paper. He is fine but it cost us 1750. Since I can only work PT right now due to school, and it's the slowest season for both of us at work we only had a few hundred in savings. The rest had to go on credit. I have already paid a hundred of it off, but I am so annoyed.
We also had to get DD a new bed because his other cat clawed it up and peed on it repeatedly. We got a lofted bed so he won't be able to get into it, nor would he want to. It's actually good though because her "room" is a 7' square corner of the livingroom that is separated by track curtains and furniture. So having a loft effectively doubles her space. She will get here x-mas eve and the bed is a surprise. We paid cash for it, but man are we stretched thin now. We had to get it last week because we needed to schedule a ride with my ex bf, since H and i don't drive, and we all have very tight schedules.
After the holidays I'll be done with school and I will be working 47 hrs a week until my license arrives, and January is DH's busiest month at work, so we'll be ok. I just wish the cat had waited a little longer.
