Good morning, all! I hope you had a great Thanksgiving with your families.
I started out my morning at the annual Turkey Trot 5K. They had a record 2100 participants this year! Huge for a small town. I was hoping to do the best I could considering I ran a marathon 1.5 weeks ago, and I was thinking it would be nice to do something in the 22:00's - I have been running 23:00's 5K's since my injury last fall, and my PR was 21:48 from May '11. I ran as hard as I could, and I amazed myself when I crossed the finish line at 21:41!!!!!!! A new PR, baby!!!! This yummy bakery provided pies for the 1st and 2nd place winners in each age group - darn, I finished 3rd!
DH and I went to Target to stand in line outside at 6:45 last night for their 9:00 opening. We wanted to get the kids iPods this year, and they were offering a $40 gift card with each one you bought. So, we froze our buns off waiting, but we got them! :) And some other random items that were on sale, including some cozy fleece PJ pants for me. :)
Today, I will probably take the kids to the park to enjoy the upper 50's before a cold front comes in for tomorrow.
Have a great day, all!
