What effect can playing something like a loud radio all night have on a toddler's ability to get a good night's sleep. It seems it would be like having a light shining in his eyes all night, where his brain has to be working all night listening to it. I'm not talking about a soothing white noise or even calming lullaby type music. This is a radio with intense talking, preaching and lively upbeat music going on loudly all night. What does anyone know about how this could affect his overall health, immune system, ability to cope, learn, etc. He is hooked on this so that now if he wake up and it is off, he can't go back to sleep. it is loud enought that it come through to ajoining rooms in the house.
This routine was started when the toddler was an infant and now he can not sleep without the loud talk/music going.
are their any pediatricians or experienced mom's who could give some information about this.
