Hey moms and grandmas, come on out. Weekends are for fun too!
Well, my thrilling day is bookended by multiple transfers to Detroit (again...in bad weather...leaves us down two rigs for hours at a time and that's not fun!) and having to slog my way through the most idiotic online driver training course ever. It's the same course every year, and half of the stuff in it does not remotely apply to us, since half of it has to do with transporting wheelchair patients in a wheelchair transportation van, which is not what we do at all!!! Thank goodness for the "cheat sheet" of answers, because if you miss one answer, it takes you all the way back to the beginning of the segment ...and it's a very slow-moving course. Argh.
Aside from that, I'm going to listen to good music, create some New Year's graphics, and work on more blog entries. I'm resurrecting my blog as of the new year (actually, 12/31)...it will be a devotional blog of sorts, but not a preachy type. I'm looking at hymns and religious songs and the scripture texts on which verses are based, so it's a scripture and poetry blog, pretty much. Where I can, I'm finding a nice performance of the song on YouTube and including that link, as well. I'm sure I'll have all of 2.5 followers but that's ok. It's worth my effort, personally, to do this. (I do follow a wee bit in the footsteps of my hymn-loving grandpa, after all!)
And yes, if the phone rings, I promise to answer it.
