My son was living in an apartment for a while. A couple months before he ended up moving back with me, he got a pit bull puppy. My other son has been taking care of her most of the time she's been here. She has some bad habits, like chewing things up, that we don't know how to deal with. Also, my landlord says no pit bulls. She's a beautiful, mild mannered puppy, about five months old now. I want her to be with a family that will be able to give her the training and attention she needs and want to keep her as long as she lives. With the bad rep the dogs have, I want to be careful and not just let anyone take her whose intentions might not be acceptable. I'm having trouble finding anyone to help me, around here, so I thought I would ask here, just in case someone has some ideas.
I'm sure there must be some pit bull lovers here! I wanted nothing to do with the dogs, at first, but since I've gotten to know several of them, including the one my older son and his wife got for their kids, who has spent a lot of time here, I've changed my opinion of them. She gets her feelings hurt when my cats won't play with her and runs when my crotchety old female cat hisses at her. I think they are wonderful dogs who are only vicious if they are mistreated.
Anyway, any suggestions would be appreciated!!
