Anything going on this weekend?

I have a busy one going on.  Tonight I have a date night planned with Jeff.   My kids will go to my parent's house for supper and hang out until I pick them up late. Jeff and I are probably going to a gambling boat.   One of the ones we like has a seafood buffet on Fridays.   But it's being renovated and the reviews on it during renovation are mixed.  Going to the other one would require us driving through downtown Louisville right during Friday night rush hour.   We'll see what we end up with. 

I'll get the kids late and come on home.   DD has softball from 9:00-12:00 tomorrow.   Then there is a parent/player meeting at noon.   Also at noon I have a parent meeting for something called Young Acheivers.   Each middle school in the county could submit 10 kids to be a Young Achiever.   They based that on grades, citizenship, and community involvement.  DD made it.   I am under no illusion that it is primarily a huge money maker for the photographer that sponsors it.  But it's also a huge deal here with lots of hurt feelings by those that didn't get in.   The kids get their picture profolios displayed in the mall and other prime shopping areas around town all summer and this fall.  My ex works tomorrow so I will try to be at both places at once.   He said he'd try to make it to softball while on duty.   We'll see.   I may have to send my mom to the meeting with the photographer for all that info.  

Tomorrow is my dad's birthday.   It's supposed to be 69° here tomorrow, possibly setting a record high.   My dad said he has never had a birthday cookout before so that's what we are doing:  cheeseburgers, hot dogs, roasted potatoes, and salad.  I am taking broccoli slaw.  He asked for cherry pie for dessert. 

Sunday is church and then a birthday party for DS.   I'll get laundry done and the house clean that day.
