I've been dating this guy for 3 months. We recently decided to stop seeing each other because I want a relationship and he's so busy with work that he has a tendency to put his relationships last. (I'm 28, he's 25) However, he wants to remain in touch. I told him "Alright, let's just be friends." He says "Please don't ignore my phone calls and text messages from now on, I care about you and don't want you to disappear from my life."

I know its a silly question, but does this mean he hopes to possibly get back together again in the future?
