What's Up this Weekend?
Tonight is my last night of overtime for a while. I have a few dances left, but this should be it sports wise. I will get home around 9:30-10:00 tonight. I'll pick up DD on my way home. She needs to read, read, read this weekend as she has a book due on Tuesday and is only about halfway done. She is reading A Time to Kill by Grisham. She had to pick a historical fiction that focused on a social event in the U.S. She loved To Kill a Mickingbird and stuck with civil rights. She's regretting picking a long one as softball has taken so much of her time lately. So she's going to read and I will do something mindless like play Wii or watch TV.
I have a wild one tomorrow. DS has a basketball game at 8:45 and I need to get DD to softball by 9:30. I might get my mom to go to my house and pick her up so I don't have to miss most of his game. After his game I am taking DS to his baseball park to get a tryout number. His dad is taking him to his tryout. I have to pick the girl up from softball (they go for 3 hours on Saturdays) and then go to a baby shower.
After the shower I have to get the grocery run in, come home, and cook for a softball potluck tomorrow night. They have a "team bonding" night tomorrow. There is a potluck with parent's meeting. The girls do team building games until 10:00 and then go to one girl's house for a slumber party. I am supposed to pick her up at 11:00 Sunday morning. That's a LONG night. She won't be fit for anything on Sunday.
Sunday DS is going with his dad to visit that side of the family. DD got a pass. I'm going to go help my friend with her nasty rental house again. We are prepping to paint.
Sunday night the kids and I are going out with my parents to celebrate DD making the high school team.
And then there is Monday. Happy President's Day. I will get my cleaning done that day. I love a 3-day weekend.
