I would fast forward to February 24, 2014. I refuse to wish time away, because the older we get we both realize how fast time is flying by. Only 49 months ago we made a trip to the attorneys office to get advise on filling bankruptcy. I knew very little about the procedure, other than it was better to file chapter 13 in lenders eye from my days working at the bank. (I never worked with BK files, someone else did.)
With one year to go I reflect on what caused use to get so deep in debt. What we should do to prevent it in the future. And how to realize the goal of paying off the mortgage ASAP (8 yrs. or less is my goal) and build up our retirement and do a few maintenance repairs to the house. I've got a whole year to dwell, read and seek advise on these three things.
I know from the past that you cannot count on any job being a given thing. My employer is currently struggling and I see a lot of what could have made a difference, but it's not my business. I learned from my own experience as a previous business owner. While Dear Hubby is currenlty doing excellant in his job, I hope never to take this for grant.
Wish me luck and patience during this next year. I can only dream..........but almost touch the future.
