It's Wednesday and I'm wondering if you can believe I finally applied for a part-time job after being off for 2.5 long years?
I've been thinking about it, needing to do it and praying about it, but the only time I can work is 3rd shift when the kids are asleep. I really didn't want to take anything unsafe.
The position is a caregiver for a senior citizen in their home. That's something I can do to give a family member a break or a good night's sleep, and I'll be here in plenty of time to get the kids to school. My grandmother had a sitter during the day, and she was able to stay at home all the way until the end which was something she and my mom had hoped for despite the dementia.
Keep your fingers crossed that they give me an interview. I'd still have a work-at-home job; it just won't be my home!
