Hey moms and grandmas, come on out and play. It's recess time!
OK, is it just me, or did the weekend seem to whoosh by rather quickly?
Wow, something has possessed our cat. During supper she played...by herself (well, with two strings and a tag, LOL) for a half hour. We were cracking up. She was leaping straight up in the air and chasing her "toys" all over the place. DD just texted me and said now she's literally bouncing off the walls. As in, she ran into the wall, she was so hyper. I think her catnip got laced with speed or something
DS has big plans for the day. The inside of the sap boiler is deteriorating, so they're going to completely disassemble it and rebuild it. Hopefully the rain doesn't curtail that project, since today's the best day to do it! DS even slept over at grandma's house so poppa could wake him up early and he wouldn't accidentally oversleep and miss out on working. Those two (poppa and ds) are so cute together. I love them both!
Not sure what dd will be doing but yesterday she was very ambitious when she was home. I woke up and she was voluntarily doing a load of laundry, including things that didn't belong to her! She got bunches of schoolwork (both home and co-op) done over the weekend, as well. Maybe somebody slipped some speed into something she ate, too. Or maybe she's been into the cat's catnip, LOL. I don't know, but she was in a really super good mood yesterday and I won't object to that continuing for a few days. Not that she's been in a bad mood or this was a change...it was just an enhanced good mood, LOL. She does have a doctor's appointment this afternoon, but that's just a routine thing and usually isn't an anxiety-producing event. We both have rehearsals tonight, so we'll have some "girl time in the car" together. Monday nights are awesome
