Next weekend is ODD's last competitive cheer competition before heading to college in the fall. They had won a paid bid to a national competition in New Orleans in April, but it was decided last night at the parents meeting not to attend it, it wasn't anticipated by a lot of parents and the moeny involved and other committments were too much to get 100% committment from everyone. DD was looking forward to it, but she understands. They have had a great season so she is happy about that, but with just over 2 months left of senior year, she's exhausted wtih all her committments and I think it'll be a nice break for her. School cheer stopped a month ago when basketball season ended, but she picked up shifts at the gym working on the nights she normally cheered. She opted not to attend the summer competition the competitive team is doing because of her new job that she'll start as soon as school lets out. She'll be a coach at NCA cheer camps all summer, so she'll be assigned camps around the state and will travel to them to coach, her orientation is over Memorial Day weekend.
