I need advice on how to handle a 4-year-old that doesn't listen! Won't listen to his mommy, his daddy, me, his teachers, or anyone else for that matter. He thinks he can run around and do whatever he damn well pleases. His mother stopped trying with him, which is exactly how I feel like handling this situation sometimes, but I know I have to keep pushing on. For his sake. His daddy, my hubby, has a heart condition, and it makes for dealing with this unruly child even harder for him. His teachers have talked the school board into hiring one person in to work with specifically him. Terrible thing is, he's close to getting kicked out because he won't listen, won't stop fighting (kicking and hitting) the teachers. He bites the other students, and steals their toys. When we are here at home, he won't let us give him a bath, so we pretty much have to hold him down in the tub to even get him smelling halfway decent. He's starting to get a lot bigger and stronger (bigger than most kids his age). I am at my wits end. Spanking doesn't work. Taking away his toys doesn't work. Neither does timeouts. He's unruly, and really hard to handle. I NEED HELP!!!!!!!! He's in behavioral classes for toddlers. They just don't seem to be helping, in fact, making him worse. Any advice?
