In a series of thought-provoking ads called "Choose One," the grassroots group Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America shared juxtaposed images of a child holding an assault rifle with one holding an everyday object that has, at one time or another, been banned as hazardous to children. The first ad shows a child holding the book Little Red Riding Hood, removed by two California schools because the main character was bringing her grandmother wine. Another shows a child holding a dodgeball, which was outlawed in a New Hampshire school. Founder Shannon Watts told HuffPost Parents : "We wanted our ads to reflect the absurdity of our country's current lax laws and weak regulation of guns. This is not the time to be pragmatic -- after the Sandy Hook Elementary tragedy , it's time to sound the alarm."
