Hello. I'm 69 this year, guardian of grandchildren (This is my third set of children to raise.), so I have very little time to myself and low to mediuim organization skills. My week day goes something like this. Getting two of the children off to school 7-8:50 am; return from bus stop and the other two watch cartoons while I do some HH chores and tend to business matters usually taking 1.5 hrs. Then we go outside for 1+ hrs: they play while I do yard work or we might go to the park. Then we go inside, have lunch, catch school bus for PM classes. I return home, have my lunch (usually my first meal of the day, so I'm already tired), do HH chores and/or take a nap, meet sch bus, bring all children home for their snack and relax time until 4:30. go outside, keep appts, run errands, etc; 6 ish, I start dinner, eat dinner, help w/sch work and learning skills, then have a family game time before brushing teeth and getting ready for bed; now 9pm. I'm on computer in adjoining room until they fall asleep. Then in kitchen; with hubby; wrapping up HH chore's loose ends, then go to bed about 11pm. Result: These energetic little people keep me scatter-brained enough, that I seldom eat when I should, forget my vitamins, and am so tired I often have to take a nap while they're in school. This usually causes something left undone, so I have to double up the next day. I have a planner and notebooks not always with me when I need them. I requested white and cork boards be put up in the busy hub of the home. I have them, but they were put up where someone else said they would best be utilized. Since they are not in direct view they are useless as reminders on hectic mornings to jog my old memory. So I start the day with stress.
I want to regain my health through morning breathing exercises and every other day some toning exercises. Then walk in the afternoon. I need to eat breakfast, but that usually doesn't happen until lunch. Hubby excels each evening in working with the children; I am the helper. Any suggestions?
