Hi! I'm a nanny to a family with three kids: Ages 5, 9, and 11. My husband is in school and will be done in December so anywhere in the next six months, I will be moving somewhere out of state. I spend most of my time with the five year old. Come October, I will have been with this family for two years. When I first started with them, they had just said goodbye to their nanny of about four years and the littlest one took it really hard. She had lots of issues with separation anxiety and ended up in play therapy to kind of work out some of those issues.
Now she is fine and we are pretty close-she is my little buddy. Her mom told me yesterday that she wants to transition her into me not being there slowly and do things different this time so that she will not revert back to old issues. She mentioned making a scrapbook of things we like to do and pictures of us together.
Does anyone have any other ideas for cute things we could do to ease her into me not being there?
