I tried, but after 2 years I still had no flowers or berries on my blackberry bush. It was a transplant from the wild, so I'm not terribly surprised. I got it out using Roundup, waited for it to wilt back, then went after it at the ground level with long loppers. Good garden gloves got it to the curb with little incident, and now I won't have to get attacked when I mow the yard. I read a bit on what might have caused it not to fruit (they fruit like crazy in the wild) and I'm just not sure the same rules apply to this blackberry as to domestic cultivars. I had them in a mostly sunny spot. Any ideas?
