You may remember me posting about my coworker before. The one who is judgmental, shallow, and far too worried about appearances. She's done so many things that make people wonder what in the heck she's thinking. Anyway, I play bunko once a month with some coworkers. This month, she's hosting. Everyone else just prepares dinner and puts out candy. Her bunko is a huge ordeal. There must be a theme. Once she even convinced me to go to a strip club so she could ask some male strippers to serve drinks at her house so she could have a chippendales theme. I kid you not. This woman is rather conservative, yet plays "naughty" if she thinks it's what people will want. On Saturday, her daughter is getting married. She actually does not want her daughter to get married because she doesn't think he will make enough money, but that's another topic. The theme for this bunko is her daughters bridal shower. (I think her daughter said she didn't want a shower.) As part of that, she's making mini-veils for everyone to wear. My first reaction when I read that was "Oh, hell no!" I am not wearing a veil. It's just...weird. I asked another single friend of mine and she agreed. Now I'm also wondering if this is her way to collect more gifts for her daughter. I know her daughter, but we're not friends. I think I maybe last spoke to her last May. I am so not looking forward to this. I'm not wearing a veil. She'll just have to deal with it.
