- 3 pounds fresh whole chicken, cut up
4 carrots, peeled and sliced
4 potatoes, peeled and sliced
2 celery ribs, sliced
1 onion, sliced
1 cup bottled Italian dressing
1/2 cup chicken broth
- Rinse and place chicken in slow cooker or crockpot with carrots, potatoes, celery and onion.
- Pour Italian salad dressing over chicken. Add chicken broth and cook on low 6 to 8 hours or until tender.
