After 3 years & 6 unsuccessful IUI's, one ectopic pregnancy and countless adoption meetings, my husband and I have made the decision to try donor eggs through the Shady Grove shared risk program. I am 39, and other than my ovarian reserve, have had good test results, so we are hopeful. Though, as I am sure you all know I am very very cautiously hopeful.
I should finish up all my pre-testing this week, and hopeful that we can select our donor as early as next week. I've already seen one that is my ethnic make-up and build, so that is a nice surprise.
I wanted to ask people who have used this program two questions.
What was the wait between when you selected your donor and the transfer? My fear is that I select a donor, and have to wait and wait and wait until a second woman chooses her.
Did anyone use the financing program, Fertility Finance, I was curious about rates and general terms. We have the cash to pay the $29K, but are considering financing 1/3 of it in order to keep a little bit more in our rainy day fund.
Thanks ahead for your support- glad I found this board, I am sure to be back
