Hi all,

My name is Jen & I'm new to this site (& any other site for that matter--so sorry if I mess up the abbreviations).

My DH and I've been trying to conceive for over a year--both on our own and w/ help. I just completed another unsuccessful cycle. We're definitely going to take next mo. off from the dr. & the endless rounds of appts & we'll just try on our own. We may try another round of IUI in Jan. but I feel so sad & disappointed at every failure that I want to quit (except that the idea of not trying makes me feel even worse).

I can't afford IVF but my health care coverage will cover IU. I'm just wondering if its worth it. Does it give me that much better of a chance?

If we just go back to trying on our own, is there anything else we can do to improve our chances (I already eat healthy, exercise and take vitamins)?

Any tips for staying positive while going through this?

I appreciate any support or advice you can give me.

Jen

Age-42, DH-41
Me: healthy but UI (except I'm 42), DH-no problems
Neither of us have children.
TTC 14 mo.
5 cycles clomid--3 w/ iu
2 cycles injectables w/ iu (forgot that abbreviation)
