My DH's 35th birthday was yesterday. I wanted to do something for him and I knew his favorite meal is lasagna. I was gonna lighten it up by using whole wheat noodles, turkey burger, low fat mozzarella cheese and heart smart spaghetti sauce. My husband said you have been working so hard I don't want you to make that why not make porkchops instead and trim off the fat and use mrs. dash and make a baked sweet potato and have asparagus! I love him for that. So we did just that we had the pork chop dinner instead! I also had bought him a small chocolate cake. He had a piece and literally cut me enough for 2 bites and then before even eating the cake he took the cake to my parents so that they could enjoy some also! I am so happy that I have the support from him and that he doesn't fight me on the changes I have made to how we eat! I just wanted to share!
