So I think I'm totally nuts, and I just need to be reassured that I'm doing ok ;-)
James does not sleep through the night, one time he slept 7 hours, and he has not done it again. In a typical night he usually sleeps 5 hours, and then two two hour stretches waking up to eat for about 10-20 minutes in between each stretch of sleep. He goes right back to sleep after eating. This is not a problem for me, I get plenty of sleep, and if he needs to eat in the middle of the night, I don't mind at all.
However, like an idiot today I started reading all these books my cousin gave me, and of course now I'm starting to doubt myself. Every book said basically that by 3 months a baby should be sleeping from about 10pm-morning. So I'm wondering if something is wrong with James, or if I'm doing some disservice to him by not making him sttn.
He sleeps a normal total amt I think, around 12-14 hours a day, but he takes 4-5 naps a day. I don't know, I just am doubting myself I guess and need to be reassured that we're normal and ok...
